The Omega "Accordionist" is not simply a unique timepiece — it is a story in which music, tradition and a passion for watchmaking intertwine into one singular project. It all began with a classic Omega model purchased by Bohuslav Ježek. Our personal meeting at the handover revealed his deep fascination with watchmaking — he asked with great enthusiasm about our workshop, our unique projects and the rare movements we had restored. It was this vivid enthusiasm that inspired me to propose creating a personal timepiece for him. In conversation it emerged that Bohuslav is not only a collector, but also a professional accordionist who inherited his art from his grandfather.
And so the idea was born: a personalised Omega watch that would reflect the musical soul of its owner. Together we designed every element, chose materials and thought through each detail so that the watch would be truly one of a kind. Accordion motifs appeared on both the dial and the case, underscoring the owner's passion and his family's tradition.
The presentation of the finished watch was a special occasion: Bohuslav arrived together with his grandfather — also a professional musician and an avid watch collector with an extraordinary life story. The meeting turned into a genuine family event, filled with memories and emotion. Both generations were captivated by the watch — it became a symbol of their shared passion for music and collecting.
Inspired by the new watch, they also entrusted me with the grandfather's old pocket watch for restoration — a piece of profound significance to the family. After several months of careful work, the watch came back to life while retaining every trace of its authenticity.
The Omega "Accordionist" is far more than a timepiece. It is the story of a family, a passion and the perfection of craftsmanship — embodied in a mechanism that has become a true collector's jewel and a cherished family heirloom.
